Capsant’s Hi-Spot technology is a high throughput in-vitro tissue platform for drug discovery.  Hi-Spot core technology produces 3D tissue cultures from reconstituted primary tissues or from stem cells allowing long-term culture in a static air-liquid interface.  If derived from tissues, they are first dissociated and then re-aggregated on a semi-porous membrane, after which they develop and reorganize in-vitro, giving rise to 3D ‘organ-like’ cultures. If derived from progenitor stem cells, Hi-Spots are directly formed on the semi-porous membrane and can differentiate into tissues.  These Hi-Spot cultures represent a high-density mixed organotypic culture system in a static air liquid interface.

  • More physiologically relevant versus 2D cultured cells
  • Practical alternative to animal models for testing
  • Amenable to high throughput applications
  • High batch to batch consistency
  • Stem cell derived human tissue models
